Registration Acceptance Conditionsn order to apply to the Medical Genetics Master's (English) Program, candidates must; 1) Graduates of the Faculty of Medicine; Departments of Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Mathematics, Physics of the Faculties of Science/Science-Arts; Departments of Biology, Molecular Biology, Mathematics, Physics of the Faculties of Education; Departments of Molecular Biology, Genetics, Chemical Engineering of the Faculties of Engineering; Departments of Medical Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology and Genetics; Department of Nutrition and Dietetics and those who meet the requirements specified in Article 4 of the Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University Postgraduate Education - Teaching and Examination Regulation titled Student Admission can apply to this program. (The equivalence of undergraduate or graduate diplomas received from foreign countries must be approved by the YÖK). 2) They must have received at least 55 standard points (numerical/equal weight) in the score type of the program they are applying for in the last five years from the ALES conducted centrally by ÖSYM or they must have been successful in internationally accepted exams whose equivalence is accepted by the Senate instead of the ALES result and whose success base points are determined. 3) The success grade in student admission will be found by adding 20% ​​of the undergraduate graduation weighted grade point average, 50% of the standard score received from ALES, and 30% of the score received as a result of the scientific evaluation exam conducted by the jury established by the institute's board of directors. In order for a candidate to be considered successful, the success grade must be at least 65.
Recognition of Prior LearningApplication and Admission requirements for the Medical Genetics Master's (English) Program can be accepted to candidates who have a bachelor's degree from any of the above mentioned conditions. Recognition of previous formal learning in Turkish Higher Education Institutions, vertical, horizontal and intra-university transfers are carried out within the scope of the "Regulation on the principles of transfer between associate and undergraduate programs in higher education institutions, double major, minor and inter-institutional credit transfer" (http://www.yok.gov.tr/content/view/476/) determined by the Council of Higher Education.
Degree Requirements and Rules to take a minimum of 7 courses with a minimum of 21 local credits.

to have a Cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 2.00/4.00 with a minimum of 120 ECTS credits.
Program ProfileIn our program, education and research activities are provided by 2 Professors, 2 Associate Professors, and 3 Assistant Professors. The language of instruction is Turkish and English. The program includes compulsory and elective courses related to the field of Medical Genetics. In the 1st and 2nd semesters, compulsory and elective courses related to the field are taken; in the 3rd and 4th semesters, a thesis study related to the field is carried out.
Occupational Profiles of GraduatesWith this program, they are provided with thesis-based master's degree aimed at increasing their professional competence and documenting their expertise in the field of Medical Genetics, and they have priority in being appointed as academicians in the Ministry of Health and its institutions, University and Private Hospitals, specialized clinics in various fields, and Universities.
Access To Upper DegreeGraduates who successfully complete the master's degree (in English) program can apply to doctoral programs in their own field or in multi-disciplinary fields, provided that they receive a passing grade from the ALES exam and are proficient in English, and are accepted if they meet the qualifications of the relevant programs.

To be considered successful, the success grade must be at least 65 points in the master's program.
